“A wide-ranging if slightly leesy nose offers up notes of citrus blossom, pear, apple and a hint of hazelnut. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the sappy and denser medium weight flavors that exhibit a subtle minerality on the more complex and persistent finale. Again, my rating assumes that the leesy note will dissipate once the wine is prepared for bottling.”
Winemaker Notes:
“A shiny golden color. The wine offers a very perfumed floral nose such as hawthorn mixed with aroma of almond paste and a touch of spices. The palate is big and well rounded with a rich intensity of vanilla and toast flavors. This wine represents a great persistence; it’s rich and expands offering a palate of beautiful complexity and density. Enjoy with foie gras and truffles, a grilled chicken or turkey from Bresse.”
