“The 2017 Barbera d’Alba is soft, delicate and quite open in this vintage. Sweet red cherry fruit, cedar, tobacco and mint all show a touch of positive evolution that makes the 2017 quite delicious today. The 2017 is also just bottled, so that may reflect today as well. Even so, my instincts say the 2017 is a wine to drink earlier than most Roagna Barberas. Drink: 2022-2027.”
